Memories Remain

I peeped into the closed wooden door. Tears welled in my eyes.

My head starting spinning in joy, trying to go back to those good old days.

Slowly several memories gushed.
Playing in that garden, counting the stars and staring at the airplane with an open-mouth…
My mother running behind me for feeding food…
My father taking me in his arms as soon as he comes back from work…

We had left that house and the city years before. But, those memories remained.

I felt younger; happier.

I clicked pictures and sent them to my parents!

PS: Thanks Rochelle for this wonderful image prompt!

  2. Yes , a Time machine would help sometimes. But then the past is a mixture. Can we go back in the machine - selectively?

  3. Childhood <3
Wish we could just go back in time whenever needed.

  4. Dear Satya,

It's funny what things will act as memory trigger. Nicely done.

  5. Somehow the roots remain.. a truth indeed.

  6. Memories are what keep us young. Lovely sentiments! - Erin Leary
